Louisiana statistics:

"Every year in Louisiana, 130,000 homeless pets enter our shelters. Each year, 92,000 of these animals are euthanized."

National statistics:

Only 1 out of 10 dogs born ever get a home. Only 1 out of 12 cats born ever find a home. 800 dogs & cats are killed each hour in the U.S, because there are not enough homes for them

People that work in rescue are often asked why they do it? Take a look at the dogs on this page - every one of them has a story. Some were dumped at shelters because they were “too much work” for the person who bought them. Some were abandoned when they got sick or old. Some we will never know the story – they were found wandering the streets – hungry, cold, sick. These are society’s cast offs, left alone to die on the streets or to live out their final days on a cold concrete floor. This is why we do animal rescue. We look into the eyes of these poor creatures and we ask “how can we not try to help them!”

The animals on this page are the lucky ones. They were saved. Thousand's of animals are not so lucky and are killed daily.

Please consider a shelter or rescue dog. These dogs seem to know they have been saved and will give you a life full of unconditional love. Look into the eyes of these poor souls and be a part of the solution.
